Hi, I’m Jake, a brown and white male Cocker Spaniel born around May 19, 2013. I’m a very friendly little guy with lots of energy! I was an owner surrender, like my sister, Bella who is also up for adoption through GCCSR. We were both unwanted after our extra cute puppy years, and we were left outdoors. Not a good situation; however, I am loving my foster home and all the other doggies here. Yes, I get along so well with other dogs that I don’t even growl when another tries to take my food. I love to run and play and chase balls with the other fosters.
I’m not a constant barker, but will do so if you leave me outside or in the crate. The crate is just alright, and I’ll go in if you lead me in nicely or put a delicious snack in there. I’m learning, just like I’m learning that marking in the house is not good. My foster mom is teaching me, and I’m getting better and better each day with this little habit. I was neutered recently, and that will certainly help me, too!
I like to jump up on people so that they’ll say hi to me and maybe give me some attention! I guess this is unwanted behavior, too, so my foster thinks I’ll need some training. However, I seem to love everyone, though haven’t encountered young kids yet, so I’m not sure about them. I just ignore the cat that is in my foster home. I recently had a grooming and was a very good little boy the whole time!
If you think you can keep up with a little cutie like me, and think we’ll make best friends, let GCCSR know! I am heartworm negative and ready to find my forever family.
