OREO

My name is Oreo.  I’m sure you can figure out how I got that name!  I’m a black and white male cocker spaniel and my estimated DOB is 10/3/06.  I am so lucky that Gulf Coast Cocker Spaniel Cocker Rescue came to my aid.  When they pulled me from the shelter just before my time was up, I was pretty sick.  My eyes were practically “glued” shut with gunk and I needed medical attention.  I was rushed to the vet, put on antibiotics, and cleaned up, then put in isolation when they thought maybe I had something really serious.  But the good news is that the bloodwork confirmed that I didn’t have anything more than a little medicine, fluids, food, and a loving home couldn’t take care of.  So now I’m living in a very nice foster home but it’s not my forever home.  I’m still waiting for that.
My foster mom thinks I’m the “sweetest, calmest thing!”  I am not quite up to speed yet but I’m on my way.  I need to rest up and I’m a little nervous that all this is too good to be true.  I am housebroken.  I like small treats but I’m not into bones or rawhide chews.
Oreo is heartworm positive so he is available at this time on a foster to adopt basis until he has completed his heartworm treatment.  He will be neutered and microchipped before adoption.
If Oreo’s picture and the look in his eyes “speaks” to you please click on the Adoption Application link above to fill out the adoption form.  Oreo is excited to get to his new forever home!
