Hi, I’m Pepper Ann, a petite, 23 lb. female Cocker Spaniel.  My estimated date of birth is April 19, 2011, and you can see from my pictures that I am just a pretty little Miss.  Found as a stray in the Houston area, I am now safe and sound in a wonderful foster home with GCCSR.  When I first got to my foster home, I was badly matted and it hurt when my foster mom bathed me and cut my fur.  So, I got a little snippy, but I’m learning to trust again and feel so much better that all those mats are out and not pulling on my skin any longer.

I’m a real sweetheart that is generous with kisses, lap snuggles, and I adore kids.  I would do really well in a home with some older kids that would enjoy loving and petting me.  My toys of choice are the many tennis balls available in the house, but I haven’t shown too much interest in the other toys yet.  I like other dogs and wiggle and whine with excitement upon approaching them on our walks.

I love hanging out on the furniture, but I don't care for it when I am moved off.  My foster parents have been teaching me to trust again; and that couch and furniture time is a special privilege that I shouldn’t just take for granted.  I think I can understand that!  I really am trusting and loving again, and just adore people!  Recently, at an adoption event, I was all excited to see who was there to visit me and enjoyed all the attention that I received.

I get a bit nervous in the car, but my foster parents have been taking me for rides as they run errands... so I'm getting used to it, and absolutely love wherever it is that we are going, just like at the recent adoption event.

I’m a healthy girl, spayed and up to date on vaccinations.  I entered the program with a small ear infection, but that has cleared up and now I just receive my routine cleanings with a wash, which all the cockers in my house receive.

I feel like I hit the lottery and am looking forward to my new, forever family and home!
