Hi, I’m Phoebe, a sweet female Cocker Spaniel born in May 2011.  I was adopted back in January 2012; however, my family brought me back to GCCSR because they said they didn't have enough time for me around their children's activities. This was upsetting to me and I started to do things to seek attention, such as going potty inside.

On a positive note, my foster mom was immediately smitten with me. She thinks I’m terrific and says that I’m just a sweet, little lady, with so many great things to offer a family.  As soon as I arrived to my new foster home, I immediately learned how to use the doggy door for potty breaks.  Because I'm such a good girl, my foster family doesn't crate me because I never tear anything up.  I get along well with other dogs, the cat has my curiosity level up, but I settle as soon as I can check her out.  I am good with children, and I really, really love sleeping in bed with my family!!!!!   I enjoy going for walks and do really well in the car, even for long trips!

In the spirit of full disclosure, we have to admit that after a few weeks in my new home, I had a few accidents inside, so my foster mom is working with me on that. She says I'm doing well with my potty-training refresher course. What they're figuring out is that if someone takes me out frequently, keeps me on a fairly consistent routine, and they are sure to let me know every day how much I'm loved, I thrive in that environment.

I like to play with stuffed animals and stuffed Kong toys.  Not to mention, I never turn down a good game of tug-of-war, and I share very well with the other dogs in my foster family. I'm spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and a total doll.  If you are interested in a beautiful, sweet girl like me, and can offer me the time, consistency and attention I crave, please fill out an application!
