Hey there, my name is Sandi and I was picked up as a stray.  My estimated DOB is 7/9/07.  I'm a blonde female with white freckles on my nose, and a long full tail.   Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I think i'm a pretty girl.  I’m not what you’d call a cuddly lap dog, at least not yet.  I pretty much keep to myself, but I do like a good back scratch and belly rub every now and then. I will lay down beside you with some persuasion.  I will follow you around for a while, then go off exploring on my own.  I like to roam around and see what I can see, then  I’ll settle down for a little while.  I’m crate-trained, happy to sleep quietly there at night, and I don’t mind being gated in the kitchen during the day if necessary.  I worked really hard on my house training and am a good girl most all the time now.

 
I know the “sit” command which I find comes in handy when I’m begging for food.  For added effect, I will look at you quietly with my big brown cocker eyes.  I give kissses willingly and take treats gently.  My foster family is working with me on learning on the "off" command, and "down" command as I think there must be really good stuff up on the counters I'm always trying to get to.  I am currently living with 3 other dogs, and I don’t mind them so much most of the time, but once in awhile the big 50lb one sorta annoys me and I get a little fussy with him to keep him at his distance.  My foster mom thinks I just need to get used to not having to fend for myself anymore. 
 

 I'm done with my heartworm treatments and doing good.  I'm up to date on shots, spayed, and microchipped.  Are you my new forever family?  Oh, please, please.  I can't wait to meet you!
