A southern gentleman through and through!  That’s what they say about me.  I’m Sterling, a male, red and white cocker spaniel, 33 lbs.  My estimated DOB  is 12/3/04. I was found as a stray in Louisiana and apparently well-taken care of but when nobody came forward to claim me, the nice people at Gulf Coast Cocker Spaniel Rescue stepped up to take me in and help me find my new forever home.  I’m very friendly, good with other dogs, easy-going, love kids – the perfect houseguest, they say.  I’m so well-mannered that I don’t even get up on the furniture.  I will stand up on my hind legs and put my head in your lap when you’re seated, but if you pick me up to put me in your lap I get antsy and want to get down.  I’m housebroken and am in the process of learning what a doggie door is all about.
