TAYLOR

Hi, I'm Taylor. My estimated date of birth is September 2011.  I was found on the streets by an all-breed rescue group in Houston, and turned over to GCCSR for help.  It's obvious I've been on the streets for quite some time, as I was incredibly emaciated, filled with worms and anemic.  I'm getting better and stronger by the day, and really enjoying this new life of mine.  I'm working with my foster mom and a trainer to learn how to read and communicate with other dogs, and I'm really liking it. I just need to learn how to talk to them before I start socializing and playing with other dogs.  Right now, I get excited and curious, and I tend to lunge at them or growl, but with work, my foster mom is certain that I’ll learn proper manners soon.  I listen to commands and directions really well, and I’m eager to please, with praise and affection being my choice of reward for good behavior!

I loooove affection and cuddling.  I’m really a good girl that just needs some behavior reminders.  I am showing signs of great potential with the right training, commitment, and loving environment.  I was a stray for some time, so I’m a little protective of myself and food.  However, I do very well with adult people and am a little bundle of energy and curiosity!

I’m not much into toys other than a favorite stuffed animal that I carry around with me.  I’m microchipped, spayed, and potty trained.  I'm heartworm positive, so currently undergoing treatment, but I'm available on a foster-to-adopt basis to the right family in the Houston area who could continue to take me to my vet for treatment. We'll post more information about my personality as my foster mom learns more about me. Thanks for checking me out!
